On January 16, 2017, Asia Financial Forum jointly held by the government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Hong Kong Trade Development Council was held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, Wan Chai. This was the tenth session of the Forum this year as well as the first highlight event for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The forum invited approximately 100 relevant personnel, such as significant financial officials, economists, management executives of multinational enterprise, financial and economic experts and legal elites from across the world, etc. Beijing Fortune Law Firm was invited as the representative of lawyers sector. The Forum analyzed the current economic pattern comprehensively, discussed the investment opportunities in Asia region and provides inspirations for the investment, business deployment and cooperation in the New Year.

       Vincent Lau, President of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Liang Zhenying, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region hosted the opening ceremony of the Forum. In the address, Vincent Lau indicated, “In the year of 2016 with drastic changes, we learnt to deal with the fluctuations and got used to accept the unexpected things. In the New Year, the international ally and trade coordination is likely to welcome a reintegration. We can expect that there will be long-term changes in economic, financial and trade policies, which will influence every section of our life. The theme of this Forum is ‘Asia: Drive the reform, innovation and Connection’.”

        Esq. Li Han, Li Shanshan, and Wu Boyu from the law firm attended the coordination meeting of AFF global investment projects and had business talks and coordination with interested domestic and overseas clients. In the main forum, we announced our own opinions on electronic payment technology and network safety, legal risks and handling to the distinguished guests.
